The X-spat Serie of 3D audio workstations is a full line of products dedicated to 3D audio soundscape creation for live surround sound, opera sound reinforcement, theatre sound automation, corporate event sound engineering, ambient audio design and DVD post-production enhancement.
When equipped with its optional firewire card and used in conjunction with X-Spat Controller II on Mac OS X, X-spat boX2 can be used also as a multichannel audio processor and playback system for theatrical productions and events. The X-spat player hardware represents the perfect complement of the biggest boX2, an economical and powerful solution for any kind of installation in which real time control of separate channels is not required.
The X-spat player is very simple to use and install. Basically it reproduces multichannel audio files from SD cards. The multi-channel file could be encoded or not, so the player is able to reproduce soundscapes mastered in Spatialisation™, Ambisonic, surround or even with raw data...
The extreme versatility of X-spat player makes difficult to explain all its potential and all the possible configurations, but for sure the optional remote control software for Mac OSX, Windows, Linux and iPhone, make it a powerful and creative solution for any home automation setup.
