The X-spat Serie of 3D audio workstations is a full line of products dedicated to 3D audio soundscape creation for live surround sound, opera sound reinforcement, theatre sound automation, corporate event sound engineering, ambient audio design and DVD post-production enhancement.
When equipped with its optional firewire card and used in conjunction with X-Spat Controller II on Mac OS X, the workstation can be used also as a multichannel audio processor and playback system for theatrical productions and events. Alternatively, the X-spat player hardware represents an economical and powerful solution for any kind of installation.
The X-spat player is very simple to use and install. Basically it reproduces multichannel audio files from SD cards. The multi-channel file could be encoded or not, so the player is able to reproduce soundscapes mastered in Spatialisation™, Ambisonic, surround or even with raw data...
The extreme versatility of X-spat boX2 makes difficult to explain all its potential and all the possible configurations. Please refer to the Bibliography and Education areas for more information.
