X-Spat Mixer for Stage Research SFX
The X-Spat system can be exploited at its best only in a live context, where the free positioning of the speakers, the three dimensionality of the virtual audio trajectories and the control of the parameters via MIDI are not restricted by the specifications of surround in post-production and take on a full performance value.
The mixer we have designed for the famous show control program Stage Research SFX offers an excellent example of system integration in this context.
To use the mixer you must, first of all, install the MIDI Control plug-in.
Selecting the red dot located top left in the mixer window, you will access the menu to load or to save personalized mixers.
Load the mixer for X-Spat, assign the output to the X-Spat #1 MIDI driver and you are ready to work.
The movement of the sliders can be automated and, by changing the tab in the lower part of the window, you can access to the other groups of faders assigned to most of the X-Spat parameters. You may also create new ones, if you wish. As usual, A&G X-Spat Controller software used in the background is the best solution to manage X-Spat set-ups that do not require automation in real time, like the position of the speakers and the set-ups of the internal patch bay.
